It's Actually Cold?

After months and months of heat you would think some cooler temperatures would be welcome. Normally they would, but you see here in the desert we have precious little autumn. Or spring, for that matter. It seems we go from months of 100 plus temps to a week or so of the 90's and then seem to skip the 80's and 70's completely. It's hard to adjust to that when you're used to roasting. We are barely making it to 70 the last few days. Now let me say that 70 here is about everyone elses 60 because we have next to no humidity. Why is this a bad thing? Because it gets down into the mid 40's during the night and to top it all off...our upstairs heater isn't working. We turned it on yesterday and nothing happened. Typical.
Every change of season either our air conditioning or our heater goes on the fritz. We should've expected it because that's just the way it goes. Remember back at the beginning of summer when we had no upstairs A/C for a couple weeks? Hopefully we can get someone here pronto to fix this or I'll just have to wait until our temps are back up to normal, which is somewhere in the 70's, with overnight lows somewhere in the 50's. That will be more like it. I want the cooler weather but it gets pretty chilly at night and that makes it too hard to get out of bed in the morning! Not to mention getting out of the shower!!!

Sorry to hear about no heat upstairs. Since I am always cold my brother gave e one of those heating pads for the bed. LOVE IT! I stay nice and warm at night. The high here in IL is in the 30's
I gift you the saying, "It's colder than a well digger's a$$"...one of my favorites. And BTW, it IS colder than an well digger's a$$ here, too. Nearly froze to death last night at a mere 37 degrees...global warming lives!

Funny thing ... if you check it before hand, it will work perfectly. It's that one time you ASSUME it will work that it won't. Standard Murphy's law.
BTW: Us Northern folk are good to -60F ... WE WILL RULE THE EARTH!!!
Sharon: The heater guy is here as we speak... yea!
Braincheese: I used that phrase last night. Thank you!
MDMHVONPA: We desert dwellers have thin blood. Were wimpy, what can I say...
That's cold? I get the "it's hot" part.
At night I turn down my heat to 65 degrees. Sometimes I have a window open a crack and it gets below freezing. Mind you, I'm in a Tempur-Pedic. Those things are HOT.
During the day tho I must be at a perfect 68 degrees year round. I'm such a wuss.
Linda D... I think you meant to say, Global cooling lives!
it is crazy weather lately...you never know whether to put on shorts or a coat. hope your heater gets fixed!
Myelin: It's a good thing I don't live in Colorado!
Merelyme: Today I had to wear a coat!!!Brrrr...it was cold AND rainy.
